AIDD (AI Dolphins Deter)
AIDD (AI Dolphins Deter) is an intelligent underwater system developed in collaboration with research partners such as CNR and Università Politecnica delle Marche, designed to reduce harmful interactions between dolphins and human maritime activities. By combining acoustic sensing and onboard artificial intelligence, AIDD can recognise dolphin vocalisations in real time and activate selective deterrent responses only when necessary. This approach supports sustainable fishing practices while minimising acoustic disturbance in sensitive marine environments. AIDD represents an innovative solution for protecting both marine biodiversity and operational activities at sea.
